JAMB UTME Marking Scheme
The JAMB UTME marking scheme is a system used to grade the performance of candidates in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The UTME is a computer-based standardized test that is conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for admission into Nigerian universities. Read more on UTME marking scheme.
Bear in mind! Total marks for UTME Use of English: Section A (45 marks), Section B (45 marks), Section C (10 marks) = 100 marks.
Note that each of these questions for other subjects carries a score of 2.5. So, when you multiply 2.5 marks per question by 40 questions, you get a total of 100 marks.
In other words, the combined marks for the other three UTME subjects amount to 300 marks (40 x 2.5 + 40 x 2.5 + 40 x 2.5), and when you add the 100 marks for English, it totals 400 marks.
